I have been playing drums since the age of ten and progressed from local groups, bands and orchestras until I played professionally in a variety of bands in the U. K . I started teaching drums in 1968 and have taught individual and group lessons at my home studio and in various schools. Carol, my wife and I opened a music store in 1974 which progressed from a tiny one room space to a large retail outlet with extensive teaching facilities.  We had customers from all over  Europe and around the world, including many teachers and professional musicians.  During the eighties I embarked on a  series of drum clinics which took myself and a full band right round the U K.  We repeated this touring schedule for a few more years. Unfortunately, in 1990 ill health forced us to sell our retail store and since then I have concentrated my efforts on teaching and writing tuition books, as well as recording the cd’s to accompany these methods. I have a soundproofed teaching studio at my home in King’s Lynn and still enjoy all the lessons.
